Construction of new unit of company "Moeller" commenced

The commencement of works on the new unit of Austrian company "Moeller", which deals with the production of components for electric power distribution, was celebrated yesterday (May 31, 2007) in Sremska Mitrovica.

Total of 1.5m EUR will be invested in the new unit of company "Moeller", which has factories in 16 countries. By the end of the year, the new unit will employ 150 workers.

That company already has one unit in Sremska Mitrovica, in which it invested 2m EUR, and it currently employs 350 workers. The entire production in that unit, where special poles for electric appliances are manufactured, is exported to Austria.

According to the words of the PR Manager of that company, Anita Batričević, construction of the new unit will result in doubling of production. Current monthly production amounts to 180,000 pieces.
