New shipyard on the Begej – investment worth 143m EUR

Company for construction of ships and trade "Shipyard 4M" signed the contract yesterday (May 30, 2007) in Zrenjanin with "Tehnorad" from Zrenjanin and "Krovogradnja" from Belgrade on commencement of construction of new shipyard on the Begej near Stajićevo, along the highway.

The Manager of "Shipyard 4M" from Zrenjanin, Milenko Lepović, announced that more than 143m EUR would be invested in construction of shipyard and that 433 workers would get jobs on the left bank of the Begej.

According to the announcement, "Shipyard" will be producing all kinds of ships for internal navigation, ships for bulk freights, sea ships, tugboats and other vessels.

Shipyard “Begej” exists in Zrenjanin for last six decades.
