Construction of new 6,500 square meters in next two years to result in uniting of all wards of Šabac-based hospital, €3.5-4m


”Hospital under one roof ” – is the name of the most ambitious project in Šabac’s health care services in last 25 years. With new 6,500 square meters, General hospital in this city would have about 600 beds distributed in five main (internal medicine, surgery, gynecology with obstetrics, psychiatry and pediatrics) and two newly formed wards (geriatrics and terminal care) and it would be able to respond to all demands imposed by legal norms and modern needs. For start, Šabac counts on money Vršac-based ”Hemofarm” owes to it on the basis of privatization of ”Zorka-pharma”.
On the ocassion of tender procurement of ”Zorka-pharma” at the end of 2002, ”Hemofarm” obliged to invest €2m in construction of modern diagnostic center in Šabac.
Preliminary project for construction of new internal medicine ward was completed at the end of 2004. The activities related to obtaining of building permits are underway. Complete investment is worth €3.5 - 4m. The works would last (in phases) about two years.
