LJAJIC: Cacanska banka takeover agreement most likely in about ten days

Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Minister Rasim Ljajic announced today that Turkey's Halkbank would most likely take over Cacanska banka in ten days or so.

- It is more than certain that Turkish Halkbank will come to our market, which is important to us in several aspects - Ljajic told the Serbian-Turkish Business Forum.

As he said, negotiations are in the final phase given that the Serbian side handed over the agreement to Halkbank which had no objections, so the response is expected to be positive.

- It is most likely that the takeover agreement will be signed in about ten days - Ljajic said and pointed out that the arrival of the Turkish bank in the Serbian market was very significant, especially for small and medium-sized businesses.
