Austrian "Alpine" interested in company "Putevi" from Podgorica

Austrian building company "Alpine" is interested in purchase of company for maintenance and construction of roads "Putevi Ltd.” from Podgorica.

According to some unofficial information, with the procurement of “Putevi”, Austrian giant intends to become serious competitor for serious construction works in Montenegro, first of all, construction of highways.

Along with company “Vinci” and “Strabag”, "Alpine" is the largest European company for construction of tunnels and highways. Together with Spanish company "FCC", it got the concession for construction of 1.46 billion EUR worth of Horgosz-Požega highway in Serbia, and it signed the agreement with the Government of Republic of Srpska on strategic partnership for construction of network of highways, 400 km long, in Republic of Srpska.
