Managers of Google, PayPal and Amazon to visit Belgrade in March


Prime ministers of the SEE countries and
representatives of the most successful world companies such as Google, PayPal,
Amazon and others will gather in March in Belgrade at the Investment
conferences organized by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).
The Executive Manager at AmCham, Maja Piscevic, outlines that this regional initiative
AmCham wants to cover SEE which is a market of 60 million people.
According to her, the support of the Prime Minister,
Aleksandar Vucic, who will be the host to presidents of the governments of SEE
countries, is very important as an initiator and organizer of this very
ambitious event called "New Southeast Europe".
Apart from the Prime Minister, arrival of representatives of 300 world
companies is expected.
-I can definitely confirm arrival of high representatives
of Amazon, Google and PayPal", and a few companies more to which we want
to represent Serbia and the entire region as an interesting and attractive
destination for their future expansions – the Executive Manager at AmCham said.
She believes that talent and knowledge are the things that recommend Serbia and
the region as an attractive investment destination.
Piscevic said that in the region where Serbia is observed as a leader, the time has come to think strategically about attracting big investors for the entire territory.
Therefore, she said, the conference and initiative are called " New Southeast Europe ", and it is an initiative since it is about a long-term process with a number of serious objectives so that the region would position differently.
From the start the conference was supported by the German Marshall fund, Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Regional Council for cooperation, SIEPA.
AmCham in Serbia, as she said, cooperates in event organization with other American chambers of commerce in the region and the participant registration has already started.
