Telekom Slovenije opens company in Serbia
Slovenian state-owned telecommunication company, Telekom Slovenije, communicated through Ljubljana stock market that it opened a subsidiary in Serbia, SIOL doo, with an objective to set up integrated fiber optic communication network.
This liable company with 100% ownership of Telekom Slovenije was registered at the Agency for Business Registries February 13, the company communicated. Apart from the fact that it is a national operator in Slovenia, Telekom Slovenije operates through liable companies in Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Macedonia. Apart from Kosovo, Telekom Slovenije set up SIOL with 100% ownership in all Balkans countries it operates in.
Telekom Slovenije is one of 15 companies which the government of this country listed for privatization and media speculate that private equity firm Cinven and Deutsche Telekom are the most serious buyers of state owned stake.
