Russian gas cheaper by the third?

The price of 1.000 cubic of gas for far foreign countries should this year be lower for a third so average gas price for the markets outside Russia and the Association of Independent States would total USD 222 a month on the average, the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation forecasts.

Average gas price of Gazprom for European customers should decrease for some 35%, first of all since contracted gas price is related to oil price so the fall of gas price reflects with six to nine months of delay, Ekonomske vesti portal reports.

Average price of Gasprom’s gas for European customers last year totaled USD 341 for 1000 cubic.

This moment, Serbia, as Ekonomske vesti already published, pays 1.000 cubic of Russian gas USD 350 but for deliveries at the border with Ukraine.

It means that the price additionally includes transport costs to the border with Serbia and further on to final customers.

Price with Russian deliverer is usually contracted for deliveries at the border with a customer’s country which is not Serbia’s case, the portal reports.
