New pumping station in Vranjska Banja spa in three months

The Ambassador of Sweden, Kristen Bringeus, has signed the contract with the representatives of local authorities and Vranje’s public utility company "Vodovod" on construction of pumping station in Vranjska Banja spa.

In the pumping station, which will be built within next three months, total of 95,600 EUR will be invested from the UN Development Program (UNDP) and 31,900 EUR from the funds of the Coordination Body for the south of Serbia.

The pumping station will have capacity of 30 - 50 liters of water per second. Also, construction of pipeline 1,250 m long, with the capacity of 1,200 square meters, is also in the pipeline. That will make it possible for the inhabitants of higher areas of Vranjska Banja spa to always have drinking water, which has not been the case so far.
