Danube Foods Group sold for EUR 575 million

Danube Foods Group (DFG) announced today that the company had been sold to the investment fund Mid Europa Partners for EUR 575 million.
- With the aim of providing objective information and ensuring the transparency of operations, as well as preventing speculations and supply of inaccurate information, we want to inform the public that the value of the contract of sale of DFG to the investment fund Mid Europa Partners is EUR 575 million - Mid Europa Partners and Danube Foods Group said each in their release.
Svetlana Glumac, director of corporate and regulatory affairs at Danube Foods Group, stated that apart from Mid Europa Partners, parties involved in the transaction are also the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and leading European banks UniCredit, Raiffeisen, ING, BNP and Citi, as well as domestic partner Andrej Jovanovic.
- I am pleased to stress that the sale of DFG is one more confirmation that Serbia has definitely acquired the status of safe and attractive destination for foreign investments - said Glumac.
She reiterated that the transaction was expected to be closed in the first half of the year, after all conditions from the sale contract were met.
Danube Foods Group includes Serbian companies Imlek, Mlekara Subotica, Bambi and Knjaz Milos, as well as Imlek-owned dairies in Macedonia, Republic of Srpska and Montenegro.
