Memorandum of cooperation between SCC and Chamber Trade Sweden signed

President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Marko Cadez and the head of the Chamber Trade Sweden, Charlotte Kalin, signed a Memorandum of cooperation of chambers for strengthening business communities of two countries, SCC announced.

The Chambers of Sweden and Serbia, as planned with the memorandum, will cooperate in the field of promotion of competitiveness of companies, construction of capacities and development of private sector, strengthening of female entrepreneurial network, industrial and economic development promotion.

Cadez is visiting Stockholm as the member of the delegation of Serbia headed in Sweden by the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.

Representatives of big Swedish companies such as Scania, Ericsson, SAAB, Alstom, Amphenol Koneksi and others participated at the Serbian-Swedish business forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Sweden.

As a special potential for cooperation, Cadez mentioned clusters of Serbian companies. At the moment, there is about a hundred of them in 13 sectors, mainly in agriculture, tourism, IT, metal, construction and pharmaceutical industry. They gather and connect some 500 firms and hire 40.000 people.

President of SCC expressed his belief that new package of incentives will additionally improve attractiveness of Serbia and lead to greater foreign investments inflow. He reminded of advantages of Serbia when it comes to attracting foreign investors: from political and macroeconomic stability and reform-oriented government focused on economy, through free trade contracts which open a market with 800 m customers, more favorable tax and investment regime to competitive and competent labor force.

Apart from visiting Ericsson, which is a part of official program of the Serbian delegation, president of SCC, Marko Cadez, discussed during the day with Swedish colleagues in chambers of commerce of Sweden and Stockholm as well as with members of the Managing Board at the Serbian-Swedish business council.
