EU supports research and innovations in Serbia with EUR 2.5 million

A project supporting research, innovations and technology transfer in Serbia, for which the European Union will provide EUR 2.5 million until June 2018, was presented Monday at the Serbian Academy of Science and Art.
This joint project of the EU and the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Development will be managed by the World Bank, it was said yesterday.
It was also pointed out that the aim of the Serbia Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer Project was to help make a new scheme of grants for strengthening the cooperation between the economy sector and research organizations in Serbia.
Also, it was announced that the project would finance the preparation of the National Strategy for Research and Development and Innovation, as well as making of the Action Plan and the establishment of the Technology Transfer Center in the Innovation Fund which would hire international experts to help research institutions in Serbia commercialize their ideas.
