Long-term gas deliveries for Austria provided - Gazprom and OMV signed changes to supplying contract

Representatives of Gazprom and OMV (through their branch office "EconGas") signed in Vienna, on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, an amendment to the existing gas supplying contract.
The amendment was signed by deputy of the representative of the managing board at Gazprom, Aleksandar Medvedev and president of the executive board at OMV Gerhard Roiss.
Details of the amendment are not available for the public.

Upon signing the document, both partners outlined the role of Baumgarten as a
very important spot for Russian gas export.
OMV is affirmed partner of Gazprom for import issues and
Austria has thus been getting natural gas deliveries from Russia since 1968. The
party which will carry out the amendment of the contract on Russian natural gas
is OMV’s branch office where OMV has 64,25% stake.
New, changed contract on gas, should provide long-term gas deliveries to
Austria, Tanjug reports.
