The Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakian Government, Dušan Čaplovič, and the Vice President of the Parliament of Vojvodina, Martin Zloh, put the drinking water treatment unit into operation yesterday (May 18, 2007) in Kovačica, in the construction of which Slovakia invested about 90,000 EUR.

As the Provincial Secretariat for Information announced, Čaplovič pointed out that such projects, the ones that improve the quality of life of citizens of Serbia, represented primary goals for engagement of funds from foreign aid provided by the Government of Slovakia through the donor fund "Bratislava-Belgrade".

In addition to the built-in water treatment unit, company "AISA" from Bratislava, with the help of Vojvodina’s Secretariat for Agriculture, Waterpower Engineering and Forestry Engineering, replaced asbestos tubing on water supply network in Kovačica.
