"Bank with five stars" - Eurobank EFG and National Savings Bank merged

- The process of operative merger of former National Savings Bank and Eurobank EFG has been completed and Serbia has obtained the bank with five stars. These stars represent constant innovations, European values, workers' devotion, broad network of offices and the image of genuine European bank - said Stavros Joanu, the Head of the Administrative Board of Eurobank EFG Savings Bank, at the press conference, when he was representing new logo for all 100 offices in Serbia.

He reminded that Eurobank EFG Savings Bank had realized profit of 4.1m EUR in the first quarter of 2007, after registering loss of 5m EUR in 2006, and that it was currently on the sixth place in Serbia with total of 900m EUR worth of banking assets.

The General Manager for international business of Eurobank EFG Group, Đorđo Pradeli, confirmed that that banking group seriously counted on the market of Serbia as the engine of further development, pointing out that the previous investments in Serbia exceeded 350m EUR.
