The biggest Romanian electricity producer, Hidroelectrica, which has still been in bankruptcy, will sell at an auction in February 33 mini hydro power plants, out of 128.

According to company announcement, electric power plants will be sold at the initial price of EUR 18,8 m and total installed power of these micro hydro power plants is 26 megawatts.

At the same time, Hidroelectrica wants to rehabilitate and keep 23 mini hydro power plants, Mediafax agency reports, reminding that in September the company already sold some of these micro hydro power plants.

The company became illiquid in February 2014 for the second time in less than a year and it went through its first restructuring process in the period June 2012 to June 2013.
