Sportina saved itself from bankrupcty

Bled-based Sportina succeeded in saving itself from bankruptcy. After a few unprofitable shops were closed, headcount number cut and material costs decreased, retail clothing brand, Orsay, went to new distributor, last year EBITDA increased by 100%.

They are planning to double profit this year as well although consumption recovery has not reflected their sale yet, Ljubljana’s Dnevnik reports.

Bajrovic is planning to increase capital at Sportina thorugh transfer of remaining companies from the Balkans into mother company. According to available data, ownership of his Cyprus-based holding company, Sibelius Sonic, comprises Belgrade and Zagreb-based Sportina which together make some EUR 40 m of annual profit and hire between 600 and 700 people.
