Although it was announced that Indofood would commence the construction of production facility in May 2014, this company from Indonesia is coming to Indjija in early 2015 instead. According to Milivoje Simic, the deputy director of the Indjija Development Directorate, the Indonesian food company, which operates in Serbia since 2010, has postponed the start of construction works in Srem due to a change in its internal plans.

- Representatives of the Indonesian company told us at our last meeting that the construction of their production facility in Indjija would begin this spring. Because of changes in their internal plans, they were unable to start the construction in 2014 - the official municipal website cites Milivoje Simic as saying.

Indofood already has business units in Novi Sad, Nis, Cacak, and Belgrade.
