Krivaja-Tekeris road to be completed in March 2015

The local road from Krivaja at Sabac which will connect that part of Serbia with Krupanj and Loznica through Tekeris will be completed in March, VP of the Government and the minister of construction Zorana Mihajlovic announced today.
It is the construction of the local road which started in 2012, 5,3 km long and
3,1 km more was left to be finished, Mihajlovic said after touring the works
together with the acting manager at Putevi Srbije, Zoran Drobnjak.
- We want to show that the Government of Serbia, apart from large
infrastructural projects, takes care about small roads as well. Maybe three
kilometers seems as little but the road is very important for this part of
Serbia – Mihajlovic said.
She outlined that local self-governance i.e. the City of Sabac did not fulfill the
promise and that the road has not been completed for more than two and a half
years.
- These citizens were, I would say, firstly punished since 2012 only because
they have different political opinion and because municipality responsible for
this road did not fund and finish the construction – the minister said.
When journalists asked when the Ruma-Sabac highway will be built, Mihajlovic
said that the project is still ongoing but that due to economic situation in
the country it will not be implemented in 2015 and that its implementation will
be planned in 2016.
