Yuan available in exchnage offices as of today

Today, in exchange offices in Serbia, Chinese currency, yuan will be available for purchase or sale. Chinese currency will be listed at the exchange list as "Chinese yuan renminbi" marked with CNY and numeric sign 156.

- Middle exchange rate of yuan will total RSD 16,9. Many businessmen who do business with China will be able to buy yuan directly, not euro which they then have to exchange for yuan and it will cut their costs of changing foreign currencies – Borislav Brujis, president of the Association of exchange offices, says.

The reason for this decision as NBS explained, is more extensive trade with China in total exchange of Serbia, Apart from that, yuan has been getting more important role in the international economic relations and financial flows.

Export and import

According to data of the Chamber of Commerce, in 2013, total goods exchange between Serbia and China totaled EUR 1,15 billion. Exports totaled EUR 6, 9 m and imports EUR 1,14 billion. In 2014, in 10 months, import totaled EUR 965,9 m and export EUR 7,8 m.
