A coin of one cent form 1793 was sold at USD 2, 35 m at an auction in American state Florida.
The auction house, "Heritage Auctions" in Texas said the coin was sold on Wednesday and that a buyer is a collector who wanted to remain anonymous.
This coin is known also as a “cent with a chain” since connected rings on its back should symbolize solidarity of the American states.
Coin design was later on changed into cornice after critiques that it symbolizes slavery.
At the first auction it appeared on, the sold coin was bought at USD 76 in 1897.
