Production of chlorine to start in Chemical Industry "Župa"

Chemical Industry "Župa" has imported 24m RSD worth of potassium chloride, and, in that way, provided stocks of raw materials for regular production of chlorine for disinfection of water – said the Manager of that factory, Miroljub Milojević, and added that, with the investment of about 40m RSD in the overhaul of the factory, "Župa" had practically realized six-month business plan.

Monthly chlorine production plan is 100 tons, which is enough to satisfy the needs of water supply systems in Serbia, and certain part will be exported to other markets, first of all, to Montenegro, Republic of Srpska and Kosovo. He said that the overhaul of the Factory of potassium chemistry had been completed in record 75 days. The factory was put into operation last October, after the break that lasted for year and half due to unsuccessful privatization.

- "Župa" is quickly preparing for the new tender privatization that should take place at the end of the summer, three of four of its factories work at full steam, while one of the units occasionally produces preparation that is exported to Czech market. Also, the negotiations about settlement of debt of 4m EUR to BASF, the largest "Župa’s" supplier, are close to an end, the workers are paid three of total of six late salaries from the privatization period, and the salaries are paid regularly after the breaking of the contract with company "Vektra M" - said Milojević.
