Brain tumor treatment without cut - KCS releases public call for gamma knife procurement

The most modern brain tumor treatment device – gamma knife, will be available to patients in Serbia next year. The devices thought to be the golden standard in brain tumor treatment will be bought for the Clinical center of Serbia December 23, KCS officially started public procuremet for its purchase.

As Blic reports, , gamma knife will cost EUR 4,5 m and the price will comprise installation, all supplementary equipment, projecting, works on new space which will be constructed. The Ministry of health provided 80% of the necessary amount while the Flight control donated the rest.

Public call defines that deadline to submit an offer is January22, 2015, by 10.

The decision on signing the contract will be made within 25 days as of the opening of offers, except from in specific cases such as scope or complexity of offers when deadline can be 40 days from the opening date.
