Heaters from Indjija for BMW and Audi - IGB Automotive is planning production expansion and more than 100 new hires in 2015

In 2014, Indjija-based IGB Automotive Comp poured RSD 151 m in its new production department and warehouse and RSD 170 m so that the total value of equipment reached EUR 10 m, Nebojsa Dragicevic, company’s GM said at yesterday’s press conference upon completion of successful business year.
- IGB Automotive, after seven years of successful business, is ending this year with planned growth and high productivity. As one of the most important greenfield investments in Serbia, IGB is a good example of successful business practice and important base for further local community growth – the first man of the company said in his interview for eKapija.
German I.G.Bauerhin GmbH has been operating in Serbia since 2007 and operates in production of heaters for seats and wheels, sensors for seat occupation, cables for seat heaters and electrical control units. Indjija-based plant employs 1.320 people and lists among the companies with the biggest headcount.
- IGB has hired more than 250 people in 2014. Compared to previous year, the number of produced products boosted so during 2014, we produced 10 million heaters, 3 million sensors and 3 million cables– a collocutor of eKapija outlined, adding that thus they exceeded planned production by 15%.
Total company profit in 2014 is RSD 1,6 billion while gross profit is one billion dinars. According to our collocutor, this year, products from Indjija have been produced for renowned companies such as BMW, Audi, Nissan and Opel.
Work for more than 100 in 2015
As the management of IGB Automotive says, they are planning to hire 100 people more at the existing sections next year.

- If we get suitable support, in 2015, we are planning to expand capacities i.e. to build new departments. This investment would enable us to employ more people, apart from already planned 100 new hires – Dragicevic said.
In 2015 IGB set up other objectives as well. One of them is to boost production by 20%, which will result in profit increase as well.
- Next year, we want to produce 12 million heaters, 4 million sensors and 4 million cables. We are planning that our company’s profit next year reaches RSD 2 billion – our collocutor announced.
In 2015, Indjija-based company will continue producing automotive components for vehicles of world famous brands it has been cooperating with so far.
- We agreed new projects with our current partners. Our company will produce heaters for "audi A4" and new BMW model. Apart from that, we are currently negotiating to produce heaters next year for new Volkswagen car model –Dragicevic added.
Our little means the world to someone
In line with the principles of good business practice, over the years, IGB implemented a series of important socially responsible projects and activities. Seeing the importance of information exchange and recognizing needs of the community it operates in, within CSR, IGB was lead with the slogan " Our little means the world to someone".
- We supported the project "Stop violence" the Center for social work "Dunav" Indija, set up cooperation with the Vocational technical school "Mihajlo Pupin" from Indjija and the Office for the Youth of Indjija municipality. Our company implemented a number fo humanitarian activities. We should stress our support for the flood-hit ones, collection of food and clothes for socially most endangered citizens, activities "Woman to woman" and Meal for day" –Nebojs Dragicevic said.
