Novi Sad-based Faculty of Technical Sciences and University in Szeged set up virtual renewable energy sources lab

The Faculty of Technical Sciences (FTN) from Novi Sad and the Department for technical informatics at the University in Szeged work together on setting up REVLAB-a, virtual lab for renewable energy sources, within IPA cross-border project worth EUR 304.000, FTN has announced today.
As he explained, the project objective is development of infrastructure
capacities for research and knowledge transfer in renewable energy.
It is a unique lab based on top hardware and software which will for the first
time enable access to the lab from distant locations, tighter and more
efficient cooperation, safe implementation of experiments and development of
technical solutions which best fit the needs of the region, it was stated in
the announcement.
Software network infrastructure which enables access to these developmental
resources through internet will at the same time immediately be implemented at
regular lectures at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, it was announced.
It was added that apart from development of internet portal for distant access
to the lab, the objective of the project is also development of applications
for development of energy efficiency in the renewable resources field.
