"Sunoko" invests 5m EUR in reconstruction of sugar plant in Pećinci and announces further collaboration with manufacturers of sugar beet in Serbia

- German company "Nordzucker Group" wants to develop collaboration with the manufacturers of sugar beet and sugar in Serbia – the Manager for sugar beet of that company, Tommy Miller, announced. He reminded that "Nordzucker Group" set up company "Sunoko" Ltd., with the headquarters in Novi Sad, together with Serbian company "MK Commerce" from Novi Sad.

The Production Manager of company "Sunoko" for Serbia, Dragan Popović, stated that the reconstruction and repair of factory units of the sugar plant in Pećinci was in progress. The investment is worth about 5m EUR and the end of the works is expected in September, when the campaign for extracting and processing of sugar beet should start. The primary goal of the reconstruction of the factory is modernization of production process, reduction of fuels consumption, as well as ecological environment protection.

Last year, company "Sunoko" invested about 8m EUR in enlargement of production capacities and modernization of production, while the investments planned for this year amount to about 13m EUR.
