Podravka halts production in Poland

Podravka decided to halt production in its Poland-based plant in order to further rationalize business, the Koprivica-based food company announced on Tuesday.

After Croatia joined EU and free goods moving between EU members, Podravka decided to locate production of the same products for EU markets at one place, in Koprivnica.

Production halt process in Poland started December 15 and it should end by March 2015.

Podravka Polska will, in cooperation with trade unions, pay reimbursements for some 45 employees through social program.
