Weltex opens new textile production section in Cacak

Upon the opening of Cacak-based Velteks, operating in textile production, the minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, has said has said that apart from 180 people the company is planning to hire 50 more – pride of Serbia and prosperity in the future.
-These kind of companies should be a model and future of Serbia. The owners lived and worked abroad and decided to come back to our countru where they invested a portion of earned funds into business they have never done before –the minister said.
Sertic expressed his satisfaction since Velteks exports its production program to America and Germany and cooperates with the best companies in these countries.
He said production is carried out on most modern machines and due to product quality, it complies with picky needs of the west European market.
Sertic repeated these kind of companies are role model and the future in Serbia should be based on these companies, i.e. the ways to implement visions and ideas and where the youth should go.
GM at Velteks, Goran Markovic, says the company generates annual export of EUR 4,2 m.
- We opened new production section on 2.200 m2, installed new equipment. We wanted to show the public that textile in Serbia has perspective and domestic brains can work successfully on healthy basis. Therefore, foreign investors should not be priority- he said for Tanjug.
Company’s core business is production of clothes in the trachten fashion field (fashion trend based on national wear of the Germans and Austrians).
Production of this plant was carried out in the associates’ facilities until 2011 when the owners bought a lot of 40 ares and a facility of 900 square meters with their own funds, started production and hired 25 people and generated profit of EUR 3.000.000 EUR.
Weltex now has 180 people and after the section opening it should hire 50 people more.
