Mikkelsen Elektronics opens cable plant in Nis

Today, in Nis, a plant for cable and electronics assembling, Mikkelsen Elektronics has opened. The mayor of Nis, Zoran Perisic in the presence of Jirgen Haberl, GM of this Danish pant, attended the ceremony.

- If this is a big day for Mikkelsen then it is also a big day for the City of Nis. Regardless of the fact there are only fifteen employees, we do not split companies into big and small ones but into those which recognized us as a favorable environment for investments – the mayor said.

GM at Mikkelsen, Jurgen Haberl, said qualified workforce which Nis has was the main thing for this project.
- Objective parameters are one thing and subjective parameters are something completely different. I enjoyed in spending time in this town and in working with these people - Haberl said.
Mikkelsen Electronics now hires 65 people in three countries - 48 in Denmark, two in Sweden and 15 in Serbia.

As it was announced today, production expansion and "employment of 100 to 150 people is planned in the next few years ".
