NIS waits for permit from Government to announce offer for "Montenegrobonus"

- We are very interested in buying Montenegrin national oil company "Montenegrobonus", and we want to take part in the tender, the bids for which can be submitted prior to May 22. But, since the State is still 100% owner of the capital of NIS, such business undertaking requires consent of the Government of Serbia, that is, the authorized Ministry - "Petroleum Industry of Serbia" (NIS) confirmed.

Let us remind of the statement of the General Manager of NIS, Srđan Bošnjaković, who has recently estimated that NIS sees great opportunity in the expansion on the market of the Balkans, which could face the deficit of oil derivatives in 2012 due to insufficient investments into the refineries.

"Montenegrobonus" is the owner of oil storages and storages of dispersed materials in several Montenegrin cities. In addition to NIS, the interest in research of oil and gas in Montenegro and privatization of "Montenegrobonus" has, so far, been shown by Croatian "INA", Greek "Hellenic", Slovenian "Petrol", Hungarian "MOL", Russian "Lukoil" and Canadian "Bankers Petroleum".
