Mercator presents its financial plan 2015 – Chain expects sales profit of EUR 2,85 billion

Next year, Mercator Group expects EUR
2,85 billon of sales profit which is almost 7% more than this year, the Slovenian group whose
majority owner is Croatian concern, Arokor, owned by Ivica Todoric, announced
Out of that, it is expected that Mercator’s EBITDA reaches EUR 182 m, which is 65%
more compared to this year, while pure profit should be EUR 60 m, Tportal reports.
According to Mercator, which last night adopted the Supervisory board, last year
in Serbia it will carry out transfer of
retail units to Mercator and it is expected to generate profit increase of 71,3%
compared to this year.
They will strengthen business in Serbia in other ways while the company will stop operating at the markets with negative of poorly profitable results.
Profit in Slovenia will grow as this year while the biggest decline is expected
in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Management of Mercator planned three times higher investments than this year
which is almost EUR 100 m. Main portion of the funds will be directed to renovation
of shops in Slovenia.
Last year, Mercator had a loss of EUR 26,8 m after which Todoric invested more
than half a billion euros, some EUR 325 m for shares and some EUR 20 m for
company capital increase.
