Impact Hub opened in Belgrade

On Tuesday, December 9, 2014, a global network of young entrepreneurs, Impact Hub, opened in Belgrade as a part of the community where young entrepreneurs and creative people can, as it was outlined, generate positive social influence through their efforts and work.
- We opened the Impact Hub to make Belgrade closer to the world as a network which connects public and private sector, entrepreneurship an d investment sector and for which institutional support is very important – the founder of the network in Belgrade, Nenad Moslovac said.
The network is present in over 70 cities worldwide and connects more than 9.000 people, Moslovac said.
On behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Vesna Vidakovic addressed the attendees and invited young people to be brave in achieving their ideas. Vidakovic outlined Impact Hub will help them solve two most important problems– how to get and keep the job.
Global Network Head, Simon Ugund specified the first Impact Hub opened 10 years ago in London and outlined three key steps which supported the development of this sector in the Balkans, which are infrastructure, continuous education which educate the youth in business and money with which they can influence the world.
At the opening, it was said that in a year, Impact Hub opened 750 new companies worldwide and hired 3.400 young people.
