NALED: Notaries'fee becomes para-fiscal one

Changes of the Law on public notaries, which governs that notaries must pay 30% of the award they earn for their work to the budget of Serbia is directly opposite to the Law on budget system and they made this fee a para-fiscal one , it was stated at the new Quarter report on status of reforms, published by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED).

- Law on budget system governs that the fee must be in line with real costs of service providing. However, if the Ministry of Justice concluded that the awards of public notaries are inappropriately high, with which we can agree, then it should have been insisted in their decrease, without redirecting that “extra”into budget. This way, the award public notaries charge is para-fiscal fee – NALED analysis shows.
