Agency for Privatization releases tender for capital increase in Zelezara

According to tender documentation, the value of the cash capital of Zelezara is RSD 16,7 billion while non-cash capital is RSD 2,7 billion.

The investors, whose annual profit in the past three years was at least USD 300 m, calculated in the currency of the country it operates in have the right to participate. A buyer shall, by the end of 2016, start production in high furnace two in Zelezara which will operate with at least 50% of capacity and at the same time maintain full capacity production in high furnace one.

Deadline for submission of applications is January 5, 2015 and privatization documentation is available for interested buyers as of December 9.

The request for documentation purchase should be delivered to the Agency by December 22.

The Serbian minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, said that ten investors’ applications arrived for privatization of Zelezara Smederevo. The most serious buyer of Zelezara is American Esmark.
