Are some 200 state-owned companies to go bankrupt?

It is most likely that for some 200 state-owned companies there will be no buyers or partners and the minister of finance, Dusan Vujovic, says the employees, in case the companies enter bankruptcy procedure, will be provided with reimbursements and be protected in that process.


- If something big does not happen in a month or two, these companies will enter bankruptcy procedure and this means employees will have reimbursements and be protected in that process – Vujovic said for B92.

According to him, assets of these companies will be available for other purposes.


The state set up budget and decided that unsustainable deficit in the next year must decrease for some RSD 65 billion. All firms which have not been working for years and which, as he says, were creating situation of chaos in economy, should prepare for painful cleaning.
