Energomontaza and Energoinvest are building long-distance pipeline in Montenegro totalling EUR 29,3 m

Consortium of Belgrade-based Energomontaza and Sarajevo-based Energoinvest signed the contract with Crnogorskim elektroprenosni sistem" (CGES) for the construction of the part of the Lastva-Pljevlja section, totaling EUR 29,33 m.

It is the biggest investment of that kind in SEE, the consortium announced.

The contract for the Cevo-Pljevlja section construction, of 400 KV long-distance pipeline was signed on Friday, November 28.

Tender procedure was carried out in line with the EBRD regulations whose loan funds the project.

The size of the work attracted renowned companies from the entire world so 33 companies from 20 different countries purchased documentation and 11 bidders submitted the offers.

In the most serious world competition, Energomontaza and Energoinvest offered the best and most favorable solution thus showing once more that companies from the region can fight when they join the biggest world players and to win that competition, it was outlined in the announcement.

The subject of the contract is design and construction of mixed line of 400 kV, total length 115 km, double long-distance pipeline is 40 km long and single 75 km, as well as solving all crossing with the existing lines of voltage level of 110 kV and lower.

The route goes through an extremely complex and demanding area, through the national park Durmitor and the Tara river canyon, on some 420 pillars.
