Government of Serbia gives up on sale of Eurobonds in 2014

This year, Serbia will not emit Eurobonds at the international financial market since the fiscal results will be significantly better than planned within the budget rebalance, the Ministry of finance told to Beta agency today.

The budget rebalance for this year implied indebtness at the international financial market of RSD 149,6 billion most through Eurobonds emission.

As previously explained, funds generate through Eurobonds sale would not be used for budget funding in 2014 but it would be reserve for 2015 where a total of EUR 5,7 m will be needed for funding the country’s debts and installments repayment.

As it was told to Beta agency, plans of the Ministry of finance for the next year when it comes to bonds emission at the international market will be defined in the Law on the budget of Serbia 2015.

According to the Public Debt Directorate, current public debt of Serbia totals RSD 2.672 billion i.e. EUR 22,2 billion.
