EU supports Krupanj-Korenita road rehabilitation - A total of 4,5 m set aside


Rehabilitation of 11,5 km of road between Krupanj and Korenita, damaged in the May floods 2014, will be funded with EUR 4,5 m which the EU provided as a grant through the Program of support for flooded areas in Serbia.
The construction works which started last week, in stages, by June 2015 and they will comprise rehabilitation of sliding area, securing parts of coasts towards Kostajnicka reka, reconstruction of bridges, set up of drainage system as well as roads rehabilitation.
The main road from Krupanj to Loznica is very damaged during the May floods when landslides and floods damaged the lower part of roads. The EU-funded project comprises development of detailed project of rehabilitation of roads and mudslides as well as construction works which will contribute to preventing influence of possible floods and heavy rains on road in the future.
The project of rehabilitation of the road is carried out by PC Putevi Srbija based on the contract on grants with the United Nations Project Service Office, from EU funds.
