Company "Intermost" builds bypass around Novi Sad - investment worth 43m EUR

Company "Intermost" carries out works at full steam on the construction of 10 km of Subotica Belgrade highway bypass around Novi Sad. It is the largest investment in Serbia, in amount of 43m EUR, which is provided by the European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development - said Rene Milošević, the Manager of "Intermost".
Due to voluminous and hard works, "Intermost" imported equipment worth 5.5m EUR - this procurement includes machines for design of bored peaks, portal crane, two tower cranes, mixer for concrete, pump for concrete, special trailer for transportation of concrete carriers, car jack whose capacity is 36 tons and other machines installed in "Intermost's" base in the vicinity of Novi Sad.
The bypass around Novi Sad, so-called Lot 1.1, implied construction of two highway lanes, as well as two related junctions 10 km long, 15 new bridges, construction of two new cloverleaf and reconstruction of cloverleaf toward Zrenjanin.
The plan is that 2m cubic meters of sand, 20,000 cubic meters of concrete, 1,500 tons of armature and 150,000 kg or ropes be built in these facilities. The works commenced on August 8, 2006, and, according to the words of Manager of "Intermost", Rene Milošević, they should be finished prior to September 2008.
