Finalization of agreement for the biggest pig farm Decemeber 1 - German Tonnies is planning to rent 15.000 ha of land

The biggest German meat producer, Clemens Tonnies is coming December 1 to Serbia so that he would finalize agreement on opening of a farm with 1.500.000 pigs, Kurir reports.

During his visit, Tonnies will have a look at the existing sections and try to find appropriate land for a big farm. He is planning to rent 15.000 ha of land in Serbia where he would open a farm of pigs.

In Serbia, at the moment, there are only 3,2 million tons of fattened pigs and Tonnies’ investment will significantly contribute to increase of cattle fund and at the same time it will enable opening of new vacancies and agriculture development.

The agreement on construction of the section for a million and a half pigs has recently been achieved when the Prime Minister Vucic was visiting Germany.
