EAR’s project for modernization of Tax Administration completed – 12m EUR for IT equipment and training of personnel

The delivery of equipment worth about 12m EUR, in scope of the realization of the project of European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) for modernization of Tax Administration, which was financed by European Union, has been carried out in Belgrade.

- The project was commenced in August 2003 and it was supposed to be finished in June 2007. During that time, large quantity of computer equipment and the basic software was procured for the needs of Tax Administration, and the training was organized for the personnel – said Daniel Giuglaris, the Manager of EAR office to Belgrade.

He reminded that the basic incomes of the State lay in the taxes, which helped the improvement of social equality, and he pointed out that tax collecting must be one of the pillars of economic stability of Serbia, especially on its way to admission into EU.
