Energy company "ČEZ" celebrated commencement of work in Serbia

Czech energy giant, "ČEZ", celebrated the commencement of work in Serbia on Wednesday (April 18, 2007) by organizing ceremonial reception in Belgrade-based hotel "Hyatt".
- "ČEZ" is not only the leader in field of energy production in central and southeast Europe, but also the most profitable energy company on Old continent - said Aleksandar Obradović, General Manager of "ČEZ" Serbia and added that, after the signing of the implementation Contract on forming of joint venture "NERS" with the Electric Power Company of Republic of Srpska, "ČEZ" would invest 1.5m EUR into Steam Power Plant "Gacko".
Obradović pointed out that "ČEZ" was interested in contributing to the development of power supply system in Serbia and becoming strategic partner in Kolubara B.
Alan Svoboda, in the name of "ČEZ Group", expressed the hope that the cooperation with Serbia would be very successful, just like with the other countries in the region.
The guests at the reception, besides the leading representatives of company "ČEZ" from Prague and Belgrade, were the leaders of the significant companies in Serbia. Among the representatives of the diplomatic corps were the Deputy of the Head of Czech Diplomacy, Jaroslav Bašta, the representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Czech, Milan Etkert, Czech Ambassador Ivan Jestrab and the representatives of diplomatic corps to Belgrade.
The performance of company "Čez", in the milieu of modern baroque, contrast of candles and light spectacle with reflectors, the symbols of the world with and without electricity, represented very special cultural event.
