Celarevo gets stockings plant - Real Knitting starts production soon

Local community in Celarevo and Russian-Italian company Real Knitting from Gajdobra agreed that the famous producers starts production in Celarevo-based section.

The section would operate in two production halls of former Textile combined collective Dunav, the local community bought office space with the support of Carlsberg operating in that place and local self-governance.

According to the company head in Gajdobra, Claudia Manani, the section in Celarevo should start operations in five-six months, i.e. the moment the rehabilitation of production halls ends. For a start, 25 people will start working, mainly women, who proved to be skillful in production of women’s stockings. However, there will be work for men as well, there is a need for electricians, mechanics, warehouse workers.

It is obvious that Celarevo-based section will work at least three years and if in any case production halts, the staff will not lose their job since they will have it in production halls in the company in Gajdobra where, according to company management, 850 people have been working already.
