November 5-6 to host Spanish companies visiting Serbia

Delegation of Spanish companies will visit Serbia November 5-6 for identification of new options for business cooperation with Serbian partners in water management, the Trading and Economic Department of the Spanish Embassy announced.

As it was stated, the delegation will visit relevant institutions and companies in Serbia in order to develop mutual projects in engineering, construction and services in water management, water treatment, flood protection and water supplying equipment, where Spanish companies have extensive technological experience.

It was outlined that Serbia has significant water resources but that it should develop management system and increase investments in infrastructure so that it could fully exploit the potential.

At the same time, it is necessary to provide supplying with quality water for domestic needs and satisfy needs in agriculture and industrial sector, the Trading and Economic Department of the Spanish Embassy mentions..

As outlined, Spain took the leading position in water management in ‘60s of the last century when the country was facing the need to increase potable water quantities in sunny and tourist attractive locations.

The Spanish Institute for foreign trade, ICEX, in cooperation with the Trading and Economic Department of the Spanish Embassy organizes the meeting.
