October 31 to see public call for Zelezara Smedervo

The Republic of Serbia has made decision at today’s meeting on initiating privatization of the company for steel processing and production, Zelezara Smederevo. The Agency for privatization will October 31 released a public call for investors to send letters of interest within 30 days to participate in the privatization of Zelezara Smederevo.

The Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic saidto journalists in the Jamena village that all procedures will end by Feberuary next year and that Zelezara will work with full capacity in May or June.

- The statewill take over al the debts of Zelezara, totaling EUR 370 m – the PrimeMinister said and added the state will do everything possible because theproblem of Zelezara Smederevo cannot be solved without the support of the stateto find a good investor.
