VUCIC: Telekom under hammer and minority stakeholder strategic partner for EPS

We are now looking for an investment partner for Telekom Srbija and later on we will release an open and transparent tender and solve the problem of Telekom Srbija. And, as for EPS, it is definite we wil not sell majority stake but we are looking for an investor interested in minority stake as a strategic partner, the Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, said in his interview for the research internet portal of the London school of economy.

When asked whether off-shore registered companies will participate at the tender for Telekom Srbija, Vucic replied that “everything depends on tender terms but I think privatization advisor together with the people from Telekom will generate the most favorable conditions – so, it should be someone operating in that field".

- Privatization is essential since private capital is what makes each economy go forward, mainly public and as we call them “restructuring companies ”which we placed in the privatization process and we expect a large number of people to participate in the process. It is very important for us – the Prime Minister Vucic outlined.
