Permanent representative of IMF in Belgrade, Daehaeng Kim, announced the mission visit in November.
The IMF will visit Belgrade November 4-20 when they will at the same time carry
out consultancy in line with the Act IV of the IMF’s Statute for 2014 as well
as talks on new program supported by IMF.
A two-week visit of IMF in Belgrade will be headed by Zuzana Murgasova, it was
stated in the announcement.
This year, IMF’s representatives also paid a two-week visit to Serbia, February 26-March 13 with an objective to see the situation of the sustainable budget and country’s public finance which is the basis for negotiations on the new engagement for precaution.
The precaution engagement implies agreement
on the program of reforms, economic and fiscal measures of the Government of
Serbia whose implementation would be monitored by IMF with providing Serbian
certain sums of money which do not have to be withdrawn.
The last IMF’s engagement was made in late September 2011 and then frozen in February next year since the budget for 2012 was not in line with the agreed fiscal program.
