(Božidar Đelić)

Božidar Đelić, a member of the Democratic Party and former Minister of Finance, stated that Serbia required 3-4 billion EUR worth of direct foreign investments per year in order to preserve stable monetary policy.

Last night (April 12, 2007), at the meeting of Slovenian Business Club in hotel "Interkontinental", he said that Slovenia was good model for preservation of monetary policy and good example of how “the country’s interest is protected in a smart way".

- In the previous period, Slovenia invested much money in the economy of Serbia and I think that now is the right moment for the domestic companies to expand their operations and place some serious investments in the former Yugoslav republic – said Đelić.

Ambassador of Slovenia to Belgrade, Miroslav Luci, pointed out that such economic exchange had already began with the investments of companies "Dallas" and "Vital” and with the interest of company "Lasta" in the transportation services.
