"Lukoil - Beopetrol" interested in Serbia’s gas sector

General Manager of Stock Company "Lukoil-Beopetrol", Plamen Popov, stated that that oil company was interested in taking part in the gas sector of Serbia.

- "Lukoil" is the second company in gas extracting in Russia. The project for development of gas extracting is very interesting to us – said Popov and added that they had contracts on cooperation signed with "Gazprom" and that they would use that partnership to find the formula how to develop their activities on Serbia’s market.

Asked whether "Lukoil" would take part in the tender for Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), Popov said that the high officials of "Lukoil" had clearly presented their positions , on several occasions, about expansion of production activities in that region.
