CIP starts on site works for the project of the Stara Pazova-Novi Sad rail
The traffic institute CIP started on site works for development of the project of the first fast lane in Serbia, from Stara Pazova to Novi Sad for the speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour which will be funded from the Russian loan, GM at CIP, Milutin Ignjatovic, said.
He reminded that October 10,at the Government of Serbia, CIP signed the contract with the Russian railways, RZD International for development of the main design of two-gauge lanes Stara Pazova-Novi Sad , 40 km long and announced the project will end by June next year.
He said the works, according to the Russian party, could start in the spring 2016 and that they will last for two years.
As he said, after project delivery and translation into the Russian language, the Russian party will need some four to five months to make necessary inspection since they will implement their technology for rail construction
The investment totals USD 450 m and the project development totals USD 9 m.
Speaking about reconstruction of three sections at Corridor 10, for which the contract was signed with the Russian railways during the visit of the president Vladimir Putin to Serbia, Ignjatovic said the projects were fully completed and delivered.
